SBDC stands for Small Business Development Center. This is a nationwide network of non-profit centers supported by the SBA (Small Business Administration), the nationwide community college network, and state agencies to promote economic development. SBDC provides a range of services from free, one-on-one counseling to entrepreneurs and small business owners, and training and seminars for free or nominal fee.
SBDC hosted by College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita covers Santa Clarita Valley, Antelope Valley, and San Fernando Valley. Garnering regional awards for best SBDC Center and Top SBDC Conselor, this center also pioneered innovative offerings such as the annual Entrepreneur's Conference and the weekly SBDC Masterminds.
